3. Burt's Gauntlet-Run, Ride-Mooching Book Tour

a. Burt's thoroughly ridiculous book tour schedule (so far, anyway) includes:
July 16-18: PREVIEW EDITION BOOK SCAM DEBUT with Green Mountain Motorbooks in the vendor area at Road America during the big Kohler International Challenge vintage weekend extravaganza. He'll also be sorely abusing Rick Fiske's Elva Courier again in Group 3 (assuming Kent Prather gets it fixed in time) so best time to catch up with him will be around lunchtime all three days. Also signing books at Green Mountain will be A.J.Baime (he wrote a really great book about the mid-sixties Ford/Ferrari wars titled Go Like Hell) and not far away Burt's longtime friend and occasional track nemesis Mike Argetsinger will be debuting his magnificent new Mark Donohue book in the David Bull tent. So bring your reading glasses and lots of book money! Burt will also be serving as a judge at the Friday night racecar Concours d'Elegance in Elkhart Lake, so be sure and say "Hi" if you see him wandering around with a clipboard and hopefully a very bad case of writer's cramp in his signing hand.

Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Look for ol' BS and his books up by the British Car Show on the hill on Saturday and in the race paddock near the start/finish line through lunchtime on Sunday. He'll also be doing a little color announcing on the PA. No ride yet for Pittsburgh, but you can bet Burt will be begging and groveling to get into something nifty for one of his very favorite events!

Book signing at the fabulous Autobooks & Aerobooks book shop at their NEW location at 2900 W. Magnolia in Burbank, CA - Postponed

Guest speaker at the Monte Shelton NW Historic Rallye in Eugene, OR (and hawking books, of course)

Monterey Historics : With Green Mountain Motorbooks on the "vendor island" SATURDAY ONLY (may also be at Concorso Italiano on Friday and/or the R&M auction...we'll keep the website updated as our plans crystallize).

Heartland Park Vintage Races in Topeka. Burt will be shamelessly hawking books, doing a little color (or maybe off-color?) PA announcing and also beating the living tar out of event organizer/longtime friend Bill Rinke's beautiful #77 Lotus 7.

On the "deck" at Lime Rock for the big, Labor Day vintage festival Sat. & Mon. and on the main straight "Concours Line" on Sunday. Still looking for a drive....

Watkins Glen. In the vendor area w/ Green Mountain Motorbooks and likewise in town in front of the courthouse during the Street Festival/Race Recreation Friday night. Probably co-driving the Yesteryear Motorsports Lotus X180R Turbo and whatever else Burt can get his grubby mitts on.

SCCA Runoffs at Road America & guest speaker at Milwaukee Region PCA dinner Sat nite.
