A CHEAP SHOT AT IMMORTALITY?: Following the success of his novels The Last Open Road and Montezuma's Ferrari, notorious author, racer, shameless ride mooch, and longtime vintage racing columnist Burt "BS" Levy is pleased to announce his latest literary adventure. "We're putting together an anthology of favorite columns, memoirs and short stories on motorsports- and gearhead-related topics called The BS Levy Potside Companion. It looks like a lot of fun and should ready in time for Christmas."

Some of the pieces in Potside Companion have appeared previously in other publications, but many are brand new. These include: the thrill of being relieved of a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow convertible at gunpoint on a test drive; what it was like working briefly as a Hollywood stunt driver when the movie The Blues Brothers was shooting in Chicago; and how Burt caused the most expensive single accident the Skip Barber Racing School has ever seen.

Plans call for funding the new book the same way as Montezuma's Ferrari, which broke fresh ground in the publishing industry by utilizing a sponsorship and advertising section woven into the context of the story to help underwrite production costs. "It was a tremendous success and most of our sponsors thought they got exceptional value, including incredible shelf life and a nice writeup on the project in USA Today." The concept was also recently honored with a Benjamin Franklin "Book of the Year" marketing award.

Sponsorships are scheduled at $250 each and ads run from business card-size at $500 to full-page color at $3000. Also like Montezuma's Ferrari, all advertisers and sponsors will receive a special, leather bound, limited edition copy of the new book that will never be available for sale anywhere. "The details are still secret," Levy grins, "but I guarantee it will be really unique!"
